The BAC perspective

Our approach to Botox in Bangkok begins with your face.

Patients often arrive with a straightforward question: “Which brand is best?” The more useful discussion is what a good result should look like on your face. A person who wants a very smooth forehead may accept less movement. Someone who speaks expressively for work may prefer softer lines while keeping noticeable brow motion. Both preferences deserve a plan that is explicit before treatment.

Brand, dose and technique work together. A premium product cannot compensate for an injection pattern that overlooks the way your eyebrows are supported. A lower price does not automatically mean an unsuitable treatment. The quality of the decision depends on identifying the relevant muscle, understanding nearby structures and setting a realistic endpoint. At BAC, these are the priorities that guide the consultation.

We assess the face at rest and during expression. Raising the eyebrows, frowning, smiling and clenching the jaw reveal different information. Previous photographs and treatment records can add context, particularly if you have experienced heaviness, an uneven smile or a result that felt stronger than you wanted. The objective is to make the next treatment more informed, rather than simply repeat a familiar number of units.

Our treatment philosophy

Precision begins before the first injection.

Forehead and brow support

The forehead muscle helps lift the eyebrows. In some people, that movement also compensates for naturally low brows or upper-eyelid heaviness. Reducing it without considering this role can create a result that looks smoother but feels heavier.

We evaluate brow position and movement together. Your preference for smoothness is discussed alongside the amount of movement you wish to keep. Treating every forehead with an identical map would overlook these differences.

The smile in motion

Lines beside the eyes are part of a smiling face. Assessment considers their pattern, the surrounding muscles and how your smile looks naturally. An attractive result should be judged during expression as well as in a still photograph.

Lower-face concerns need particular care because small changes in muscle activity may affect smiling or lip movement. We discuss what is realistically achievable and whether your concern is suitable for toxin treatment.

The source of jaw width

A wider lower face can reflect muscle, bone, fat, skin laxity or a combination. Masseter treatment addresses the muscle contribution. It does not narrow the jaw bone or remove facial fat.

Clenching helps the doctor examine the masseter, but facial proportions also matter. A slimmer appearance is not always a more balanced one, especially when the face already has limited volume or visible laxity.

Prices are subject to confirmation. Units are product-specific and cannot be directly compared or converted between brands. A 100-unit package is not a recommendation that every patient should receive 100 units. We determine the appropriate treatment.

Understanding the differences

What each main option brings to the consultation.

Nabota: a considered option within your budget

Nabota is associated with Daewoong and the prabotulinumtoxinA product family. For a patient comparing treatment costs, it provides a useful starting point for discussing an achievable plan. The important question is whether the proposed treatment addresses the right muscles with an appropriate dose, rather than whether a package offers the largest number of units.

During consultation, tell us if you have used Nabota before and describe the response: when you first noticed a change, how much movement remained and when movement returned. A record is more informative than simply saying a product was “strong” or “weak.” A previous result can reflect the treated area and technique as well as the formulation.

XEOMIN: understanding a formulation without accessory proteins

XEOMIN contains incobotulinumtoxinA and is formulated without accessory complexing proteins. This is a specific formulation distinction. It does not mean the product contains no protein: the active botulinum neurotoxin is itself a protein. It also does not mean that the treatment cannot cause adverse effects or that every patient will obtain the same result.

Patients planning repeated treatment sometimes ask whether this formulation prevents resistance. No product should be presented as a guarantee against reduced response. A disappointing result can have several explanations, including the treatment target, dose, injection pattern, timing of assessment and expectations. Antibody-related nonresponse is one possible explanation that requires medical evaluation rather than a conclusion drawn from one short-lived result.

Allergan BOTOX Cosmetic: familiarity with a defined product

BOTOX Cosmetic contains onabotulinumtoxinA and belongs to the Allergan/AbbVie product portfolio. Many international patients recognize the name because it has a long clinical and aesthetic history. That familiarity can make it easier to discuss previous treatment, particularly when you have records of the exact product used.

Its established identity does not remove the need for an individualized examination. We still consider the muscles involved, your resting brow position, the movement you want to preserve and your response to earlier injections. Choosing BOTOX Cosmetic does not guarantee a particular duration or a completely movement-free result.

The word “Botox” is also frequently used as a general term for the entire treatment category. When booking, distinguish the procedure from the brand. If you prefer Allergan BOTOX Cosmetic, tell our team when booking so we can confirm availability and discuss it with you. Clear naming makes price comparisons and future medical records more useful.

Neuronox: previous response matters more than a slogan

We offer Neuronox at the same package prices as Nabota: 50 units for ฿3,990 and 100 units for ฿6,990. This gives you another option at the same price level, while keeping the consultation focused on your anatomy and treatment goals. Equal package prices do not make the products interchangeable.

If Neuronox has worked well for you previously, that history is useful. We ask which areas were treated, approximately how much was used and how the result felt in daily life. Were you comfortable raising your eyebrows? Did your smile still feel natural? Was the effect suitable for your expectations? These answers help us understand what to preserve or adjust.

If it is your first treatment, we explain the planned areas and intended reduction in movement before proceeding. We do not use the availability of a larger package as a reason to inject more than your face needs. A measured plan can also provide a clearer starting record for future appointments.

Aestox: an accessible price with the same planning priorities

Our Aestox packages are 50 units for ฿3,590 and 100 units for ฿6,590. We discuss it as a product option within a medically assessed plan. The lower package price does not change the need to review facial movement, identify the relevant muscles, discuss possible side effects and agree on a realistic goal.

For budget-conscious patients, we start with the concern that matters most. Sometimes a focused treatment is more appropriate than distributing a package across every area mentioned online. We explain which changes toxin can reasonably address and which concerns reflect volume loss, skin quality or underlying structure.

If you are switching from another product, bring your records. We consider the exact prior treatment rather than assuming that the same number of units should automatically be repeated. You can ask to see the product packaging, name, batch and expiry information before injection. Keep these details together with your treatment date afterward.

Two other names worth understanding

Hutox and Dysport: what we discuss.

If you are comparing Hutox or Dysport with our featured options, bring the exact product name and your previous treatment record to the consultation. We can explain the practical differences and confirm current availability before you book.

Hutox

Hutox is another name encountered in Thailand’s botulinum toxin market. We approach it through the same clinical questions: your treatment target, the exact locally supplied product, previous response and appropriate dosing.

Dysport

Dysport contains abobotulinumtoxinA. Its units are specific to the product, so a numerical unit count must not be compared directly with a Nabota, Neuronox, Aestox, XEOMIN or Allergan package. We discuss the expected clinical effect, treatment areas and total price. A larger printed number is not evidence of a stronger or more valuable treatment.

Our consultation focuses on what the proposed treatment will do for you. If you prefer a particular brand, tell us before the visit so we can confirm availability. We do not promise an identical onset or duration across patients, and we do not select a product only because it is described online as the strongest.

A better way to compare

Compare the treatment plan, not just the vial.

A meaningful quote identifies the product, proposed areas, intended outcome and approximate dose. It also explains how the result will be assessed. “Full-face Botox” can describe very different treatments between clinics, so ask which muscles are included and why. Adding areas is useful only when each area has a clear purpose.

Tell us whether your priority is a smoother appearance, retained expression, softer jaw prominence or reduced sweating. These goals are not interchangeable. A plan designed for strong frown movement differs from one focused on forehead lines in a person with low brows. The same package should not imply the same injection pattern.

Matching treatment to the concern

What Botox can change—and how we set expectations.

Forehead lines: Horizontal lines associated with brow elevation may soften when the relevant muscle activity is reduced. Existing lines visible at rest may remain. We consider how much brow support depends on forehead movement before discussing the desired degree of relaxation.

Frown lines: The muscles between the eyebrows contribute to vertical and horizontal frown patterns. Treatment can reduce the movement creating those lines. Deeply established creases may not disappear completely, and an honest plan distinguishes reducing muscle activity from replacing lost volume.

Crow’s feet: Outer-eye expression lines can be assessed while you smile. Treatment planning considers the pattern and surrounding anatomy. The aim is agreed with you beforehand, including whether you prefer more visible movement or greater softening of the lines.

Masseter prominence: Suitable patients may see gradual changes as the treated muscle becomes less prominent. Contour changes generally take longer to judge than upper-face expression changes. Chewing function, facial volume and the possibility of unwanted contour changes deserve discussion before proceeding.

Selected nose, chin, lower-face and neck concerns: These require a specific medical assessment. Small muscle changes can influence the smile, lip function or neighboring structures. Some applications may be outside a product’s locally approved indications, which should be explained during consent.

Excessive underarm sweating: This has a different treatment target from facial wrinkles. We assess the concern and discusses suitability, expected response and a separate quote. New or unexplained sweating may need evaluation for an underlying cause before an aesthetic treatment is considered.

Before your appointment

Information your doctor needs to know.

Bring the dates, brands, areas and approximate doses of previous botulinum toxin treatments when possible. Include treatment received elsewhere and injections for medical conditions, not only cosmetic procedures. Recent exposure matters even when a different brand was used or a different body area was treated.

Explain any previous eyelid drooping, brow heaviness, uneven smile, swallowing difficulty or allergic reaction. Tell us about neuromuscular conditions, problems with breathing or swallowing, relevant eye symptoms, facial surgery and infection near a proposed injection site. These details may change the recommendation or require treatment to be deferred.

Share your medicines and supplements, including blood thinners, muscle relaxants and recent antibiotics. Do not stop prescribed medicines independently to reduce bruising. If an adjustment is needed, it should be coordinated with the prescribing clinician. Pregnancy and breastfeeding should also be disclosed; an elective aesthetic appointment should not bypass this discussion.

For an important event, discuss timing well in advance. Injection marks or bruising may be visible, and the effect develops gradually. A first treatment shortly before a wedding, presentation or long trip leaves less room to assess your response. Tell the team about your travel dates so that a realistic review plan can be considered.

Your Post-Botox Aftercare Guide

Follow the instructions we give you for your treatment areas. These practical steps help you care for the injection sites while your result develops.

1. The First 30–60 Minutes: Gentle Muscle Movement

If our doctor recommends muscle movement, use gentle, comfortable expressions with breaks. You do not need to exercise continuously or force the movement.

  • Jaw treatment: If instructed, gently open and close your mouth as though chewing soft food. Avoid forceful clenching, exaggerated opening or prolonged gum chewing, especially if you have jaw pain.
  • Forehead: Gently raise and relax your eyebrows.
  • Between the brows: Gently frown, then relax.
  • Crow’s feet: Smile naturally, allowing the outer eye muscles to move. Avoid squeezing your eyes tightly.

Normal facial movement is fine. Extra exercises are optional when advised; they do not guarantee better absorption, a stronger result or longer duration.

2. The First 4 Hours: Stay Upright

Remain sitting or standing for four hours, unless we advise otherwise. Avoid lying flat or resting with your face pressed into a pillow. Keep your head comfortably upright; ordinary brief movements do not mean your treatment has failed.

3. The First 24 Hours: Be Gentle With Your Skin

  • Do not rub, press or massage the treated areas. Avoid facial massage, gua sha and other treatments involving firm pressure.
  • Wash gently. Use light movements and pat dry with a clean towel rather than scrubbing.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours. This is a precaution to help limit bruising.
  • Ask us about strenuous exercise and intense heat. Advice may differ with your treatment areas and any combined procedures.

Do not stop prescribed blood thinners or other essential medicines on your own. Discuss any medication changes with your prescribing clinician.

4. The First 1–2 Weeks: Coordinate Other Treatments With Us

Before booking a facial laser, radiofrequency treatment, ultrasound treatment or intensive facial, tell us what procedure you are planning and when. We will advise whether it can be combined with your treatment or should be scheduled later.

Avoid saunas and prolonged intense heat immediately after treatment, particularly while the skin is irritated or swollen. Normal cooking, warm weather and routine face washing do not need to be avoided for two weeks.

5. When Will You See the Result?

Many patients notice upper-face changes within approximately 3–7 days. We commonly assess the result around day 14, although timing varies by product, dose, area and individual response. Jaw muscle contour changes usually take longer than facial expression-line changes.

Do not arrange extra injections while the result is still developing. Contact us if you have questions about movement or symmetry so we can advise on an appropriate review.

When to Contact BAC Clinic

Contact us about eyelid drooping, a new uneven smile, troublesome dry eyes, or persistent or worsening pain, redness or swelling.

Seek urgent medical care immediately for difficulty breathing, swallowing or speaking, generalized muscle weakness, or a severe allergic reaction. Serious symptoms can occur hours to weeks after treatment. Do not wait for a chat reply.

Aftercare Questions? Contact BAC
Questions before you book

Make the decision with confidence.

Will Botox make my face look frozen?

The degree of movement reduction depends on the muscles treated, dose, placement and your individual response. Tell us how expressive you want to remain. A natural-looking goal can be discussed, but no brand alone guarantees a particular appearance or eliminates the possibility of side effects.

How long will my result last?

Duration varies by product, treatment area, dose and individual response. Many upper-face treatments have a useful effect for roughly three to four months, with shorter or longer experiences possible. Return of movement is gradual, and masseter contour or sweating treatment should be discussed separately. BAC does not promise an identical duration for every patient.

Can I combine Botox with other procedures?

Combination treatment may be suitable after assessment. The choice and sequence depend on your concerns, anatomy, skin condition, medical history and the procedures involved. We determine a suitable plan and explains when staging treatment would be preferable.

Does a bigger package mean a better result?

No. A package size describes a commercial offer, while a prescribed dose reflects medical planning. More units can mean more muscle relaxation, which is not always the outcome you want. We explain why each proposed area is being treated and how the dose supports your goal.

What if my previous Botox stopped working quickly?

Bring the exact product, dose, areas and dates if available. We need to distinguish early return of some movement from a lack of effect, and review the target and timing. A single disappointing experience does not establish antibody resistance. Changing brands without reviewing these details may leave the underlying reason unresolved.

Can I have treatment during the consultation visit?

Consultation is free. Treatment may be possible during the same visit when medically suitable, the appropriate product is available and you choose to proceed after discussing the plan. Message the team with your preferred date and product questions so that current availability can be confirmed.
