Changes can begin before baldness.
Notice these six early signs.
Perhaps you are picking up more hair from the floor, changing your part or avoiding bright light in photographs. If these concerns are becoming more frequent, start by understanding what has changed.
More strands in your hands
You notice more loose hair than usual when washing, brushing or touching your hair.
A wider part
A once-full part reveals more scalp under the same lighting.
A receding hairline
Your hairline changes, or the temples begin to form an M-shaped outline.
A less-dense crown
Photographs from above or behind reveal more scalp.
Less fullness when tied back
Your ponytail feels smaller, or your hairstyle looks flatter.
Broken strands at different lengths
Short fragments, split ends and dryness should be distinguished from shedding at the root.
Shedding and breakage
can look similar—but need different care.
Finding hair on the floor does not explain the cause. Notice whether whole strands are shedding or the hair shaft is breaking, then adjust your care accordingly.
Hair shedding
Usually involves a complete strand, sometimes with a small bulb at one end. The hair cycle, internal factors and scalp conditions can all play a part.
Pay attention to your scalp and roots, while exploring the underlying factors.
Hair breakage
Usually produces shorter pieces of different lengths, often with dry or split ends after chemical processing, heat or repeated friction.
Reduce damage to the hair shaftand handle your hair gently.
Why is your hair shedding?
Understand the cause. Choose appropriate care.
Heredity and age
Hormone sensitivity and age-related changes can gradually make hair finer and less dense.
Stress and illness
Significant stress, high fever or recovery from illness may be followed by increased shedding.
Hormonal changes
Hair changes may occur after childbirth or around menopause, but each person needs an individual assessment.
Nutritional shortfalls
Rapid weight loss or low iron may be associated with shedding. Identify the cause before choosing supplements yourself.
Heat and chemical processing
Frequent bleaching, straightening, perming or heat styling can damage the shaft and cause breakage without a root problem.
Repeated tension
Tight ponytails, braids or heavy extensions can cause breakage and traction-related hair loss.
Scalp concerns
Itching, flaking, redness, pain or infection need their own assessment. Oiliness alone does not explain every type of shedding.
Medicines and health conditions
Some medicines, thyroid conditions and other illnesses can be associated with hair loss. Do not stop prescribed medicine yourself.
Look beyond the words “hair loss”. Choose care that matches what you are actually experiencing.

They bring complementary approaches to fuller, stronger-looking hair. The brand’s ingredient materials cite up to 28,200 additional hairs over three months for Redensyl®, a 78% improvement in hair growth activity over 90 days for AnaGain™, and a 60% increase in hair density over 90 days for Baicapil™. These figures refer to ingredient research, rather than a guaranteed outcome from this finished serum.
Hair anchorage care
Hair anchorage careProcapil™Procapil™ combines Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Apigenin and Oleanolic Acid. These ingredients have been studied in connection with hair care and DHT-related mechanisms. The approach focuses on the roots, reduced shedding associated with fragile strands and stronger-looking hair. The brand’s ingredient information reports an improvement of up to 121% in hair growth activity over four months; individual results with the finished product vary.

Concerned about thinning?
Where should you begin?
From a frequently asked question to a serum focused on the scalp and hair roots.
“There is one question… that I am asked again and again.
If my thinning is hereditary, can my hair ever look fuller again?
Every time I hear it, my answer starts in the same place: please do not give up simply because heredity is involved.
Over the years, I have studied research on hair, the scalp and ingredients used in root care around the world. The more I learned, the more I saw people spending time and money without first understanding their concern. Many focused on shedding, while overlooking the scalp and the follicles from which each strand grows.
A scalp and root-care serum combining five key actives with seven botanical ingredients, designed for regular morning and bedtime use.
Heredity can be a risk factor.
It does not define every aspect of your hair.
Dr.Koi’s story and formulation approach
The hair you see shedding today may not be the only change to notice. Another concern is…
new strands becoming progressively finer with each cycle.
You may still see new hair, yet it can feel finer, less dense or more fragile, and stay for less time. This can explain concerns such as:
✓ Less shedding, but a part that still looks wider
✓ More small new hairs, without the fullness you hoped for
✓ Several products, but new strands that still look fine
Heredity can be a risk factor, but it is not the whole story. Research helps us understand that hair is influenced by more than genetics alone. Scalp condition, inflammatory processes, the hair cycle and the environment around the follicle can also affect the quality of new strands.
That led me to ask a different question: what if we began with the scalp and roots, rather than just the visible hair? That was the beginning of BIOPEPTIDE ADVANCED HAIR THICKENING SERUM

What has the formula selected for your hair? Five key actives · Seven botanical extracts · One formulation approach
Five key actives in BioPeptide
Each component has a role in the same care concept, helping you understand what you are choosing for your hair.
1. Copper Tripeptide-1: “The Cell Repairer”
This is one of the ingredients the brand prioritises for structural care, compared with approaches centred on Capixyl: Mechanism explored in ingredient research: collagen and elastin around the follicle, with attention to follicle size and the quality of newly growing hair—not simply the appearance of very fine baby hairs. The formulation approach focuses on roots affected by chemical processing or nutritional and postpartum changes, while recognising that underlying causes need individual assessment.
2. Redensyl® : “The Galvanizer of Stem Cells”
An internationally recognised ingredient studied for hair growth. Ingredient-study findings do not establish that a cosmetic serum is equivalent to hair-transplant surgery. Research focus: ORSc, or outer root sheath stem cells, and cellular activity associated with new hair growth. Ingredient-supplier figure: up to 28,200 additional hairs¹ over three months.
3. Procapil™: “The Anchoring Agent”
Research focus: the 5α-reductase pathway associated with DHT and microcirculation supplying the follicular environment. Formulation aim: support hair anchorage and reduce the appearance of shedding associated with fragile strands.
4. Anagain™ & 5. Baicapil™: “The Lifecycle Extender”
These ingredients are selected around the anagen growth phase and telogen resting phase, with the aim of supporting naturally fuller-looking hair over time.
Five key actives in one leave-in step, complemented by seven selected botanicals for everyday scalp and root care.
A complementary blend designed for consistent morning and bedtime care.
Nature, thoughtfully considered at every step
The botanicals selected for this formula
Yet ingredients are only part of the picture.
Oil, inflammation, dandruff and buildup also deserve attention. Even the best seed needs suitable soil. The same principle inspires the brand’s approach to scalp care.
That is why Songnaang BioPeptide combines five international ingredient technologies with seven selected botanicals.
The aim is to care for the scalp environment as well as the roots. Healthy-looking hair begins with attention to both. The seven botanicals are selected to complement one another within the formula. The brand groups their intended roles as follows:
Microcirculation-focused botanical care: Black ginger: selected in connection with research into circulation and the supply of nutrients to the scalp environment.
Structural and cellular-energy care: (Cellular Energy): Ginseng: selected for its botanical compounds and contribution to root care. Fuji mulberry root: selected within the brand’s hair-cycle support concept.
Antioxidant and scalp-comfort care: Reishi mushroom: included in the approach to scalp comfort and protection from oxidative stress. Indian mulberry root: included in botanical care for the follicular environment and exposure to environmental stressors.
Scalp-balance and hair-pigment care: Pueraria: selected for the brand’s scalp-balance concept. A cosmetic formula should not be understood as a treatment that corrects a hormonal disorder. Butterfly pea: traditionally associated with dark, glossy-looking hair and included for overall strand care and a smoother, more substantial feel.
Songnaang brings botanical thinking together with root care, connecting the ingredient list to the purpose of the complete formula. You can ask the brand about any ingredient before you begin.
One formula. Complementary roles. Consistent care.
Why can new hair appear…
without the fullness you hoped for?
New growth and stronger-looking hair are not exactly the same concern. A focus on new strands alone can overlook something important: if the underlying follicular environment remains affected, new strands may still look fine, fragile or short-lived.
Dr.Koi asked a different question:
why not consider the whole root-care system together?
Hair care is about more than a single stimulating ingredient. It involves several needs—much like caring for a plant. You think about water, soil, nutrients and the surrounding conditions, as well as the roots themselves. That is the analogy behind this formula.
That is why Songnaang chose a combination.
bringing together five international ingredient technologies with complementary responsibilities within one considered care concept.
Enquire / ask / orderAt the heart of
BioPeptide Advanced Hair Thickening Serum is research into signal transduction: the way cells receive and respond to signals. The brand draws on this ingredient research when selecting its scalp and root-care blend.

The Songnaang philosophy
We do not look for a single “miracle ingredient”. We believe in a considered system.
A balanced-feeling scalp,

create the basis for stronger, fuller, healthier-looking hair.
Understanding root and scalp care
The hair you see today begins with a cycle below the surface.
Hair moves through growth, transition and resting phases. Different strands are at different stages, so understanding the cycle is part of understanding visible fullness.
A shorter growth phase can mean finer strands.
In hereditary pattern hair loss, DHT affects susceptible follicles. A shorter growth phase and follicle miniaturisation can produce shorter, finer-looking hair.
Consider three dimensions of care.
Songnaang’s formulation concept considers the roots, hair cycle and scalp environment together, combining ingredient roles in one consistent leave-in step.
Five key actives in BioPeptide
Copper Tripeptide-1, Redensyl®, Procapil™, AnaGain™ and Baicapil™ each have a role in the formula’s approach to root care, the hair cycle and fuller-looking hair.
Formulation science meets botanicals.
Black ginger, ginseng, reishi mushroom, butterfly pea, pueraria, Fuji mulberry root and Indian mulberry root add botanical dimensions to scalp and strand care.

Fuller, healthier-looking hair
AnaGain™, Baicapil™, Procapil™, Redensyl®, Copper Tripeptide-1 and selected botanicals bring together the brand’s approach to visible density and new-growth care.

Brand-reported changes in shedding at four weeks
Patented ingredient technologies have been studied in relation to the follicular environment, shedding and the hair cycle. Results from the finished serum vary.

Changes you can observe The brand describes a stronger hair feel, reduced noticeable shedding over 2–4 weeks and new-growth observations around 10 weeks. These are expectations to discuss with the brand, rather than promises of an individual result.

Fuller-looking hair starts at the source.
Look beyond the strands in your brush and explore the care concept behind Songnaang.
It is not only about “more hair”.
It is also about caring for the roots.
Seeing dozens of loose strands can feel alarming, and make you want to stop shedding immediately. Yet every strand has its own life cycle. Some daily shedding can be part of a natural process.
Another important question is:
after a strand sheds,
what grows in its place?
A healthy follicle can produce a new strand of similar thickness. When follicular function changes, new strands can gradually become finer, shorter-lived and more prone to shedding sooner.
That helps explain the concern:
“I still see new hair—but it never looks as full as before.”
The concern can involve more than the number of strands:
the quality of the new hair matters, too.
As the pattern repeats, visible fullness can decline, until more scalp becomes noticeable.
What can affect the follicular environment?
Age and heredity are not the only considerations. Several factors can act together, including:
✔ DHT-related effects in people susceptible to hereditary pattern thinning
✔ Oily scalp, dandruff and inflammation around the follicles
✔ Stress, inadequate sleep, postpartum changes or menopause
✔ Colouring, perming, straightening and repeated chemical exposure
✔ Age-related changes to the growth cycle
✔ Hair changes associated with chemotherapy or weight loss, which require appropriate medical guidance
Dr.Koi Founder of SongnaangTogether, these factors may affect follicular function and the quality of strands produced in later cycles. Dr.Koi therefore began with a different question from “How can we make hair grow as quickly as possible?” She asked how to care for the roots so that new strands could look stronger again.
A focus on speed alone may still produce fine-looking, fragile strands that do not deliver the fullness a person wants.
This is the thinking behind
Hair Root Recovery Science
a concept that considers more than new growth alone. It looks at the roots, scalp, hair cycle and the quality of new strands together. Care at the source
is the starting point for a more considered long-term approach.

Three simple steps,
morning and bedtime.
Turn a moment of concern into a few minutes of care for yourself each day.
Part your hair to reach the scalp.
Start with a clean, dry or slightly damp scalp. Separate the hair around the area you want to care for.
Apply to the area that concerns you.
Focus on your part, hairline or thinning areas, allowing the serum to contact the scalp directly.
Massage gently and leave it on.
No rinsing is needed. Use morning and bedtime according to the product directions.
Follow the label and compare your part under the same lighting and angle. Results and the time taken to notice change differ between people.

How to apply BioPeptide Serum for targeted scalp and root care
Prepare your scalp
Use on a clean, dry scalp, or one that is slightly damp after washing. You can also use it on days when you do not shampoo. Consistency over the first three months is part of the brand’s directions.
Technique: separate your hair into sections so the drops reach your scalp directly.
Apply the serum
Place drops directly onto the scalp in areas affected by visible thinning or shedding concerns.
Areas to pay attention to
Hairline and forehead: for a receding-looking hairline, the brand suggests applying approximately 0.5 cm inside the edge so the serum can spread across the target scalp area. The part: separate the hair clearly and apply along the visible part line. Crown or whorl: thinning can begin here without being obvious in the mirror. Part the hair around the crown and apply across the area you want to care for. Other thinning areas: apply directly to the relevant scalp area. Unusual or sudden hair loss should be assessed rather than assumed to be a cosmetic concern.
Frequency: use twice daily, morning and bedtime, according to the label, to keep your care consistent.
Massage gently
Use your fingertips in small circular movements to distribute the serum and provide a gentle scalp massage.
Leave it on without rinsing, following the product directions.
The brand recommends consistent use for at least three months so changes can be observed over time alongside the hair cycle. An individual result is not guaranteed.
Make consistency part of the change.
Hair care takes time. Read the brand’s observation guide and give yourself a consistent approach.
Understand the hair cycle.
Give your care time.
The stages and explanations below help you understand why consistency matters when observing your hair.
The follicle is active and the strand gradually lengthens as part of the individual’s natural cycle.
The short transition after active growth and before the strand enters its resting stage.
Some strands rest while others continue growing. They do not all change together.
Shedding is part of the cycle, which is why observing changes in your hair takes time.
Conceptual hair-cycle illustration. Sizes and positions are schematic.
Care for the roots.
Support stronger-looking strands.
Apply directly to the scalp and massage gently, morning and bedtime. Twice-daily use, according to the label, keeps your scalp and root care consistent.

Stage 1
The first 2–4 weeks
With consistent care, some users describe a more balanced-feeling scalp, less excess oil and less noticeable shedding during washing or brushing.
• A more balanced scalp feel • Less excess oil • Less noticeable shedding • Stronger-looking roots

Stage 2
Around 1–2 months
Some users report noticing new-looking strands along the hairline or part after consistent care, with hair that appears stronger.
• Small new-looking strands • Stronger-looking hair • A fuller-looking part • More visible volume

Stage 3
Around 3–6 months
Over a longer observation period, some users describe better-looking density, a narrower-looking part and healthier-looking hair overall.
• More visible fullness • A narrower-looking part • Stronger-looking strands with more body • Healthier-looking hair
This is the brand’s observation guide. Individual results and response times vary.

Choose BioPeptide with SongnaangHow are shampoo and serum different?
AMARA cleanses and cares for the scalp, then rinses off. BioPeptide is a leave-in serum applied directly to the scalp where thinning concerns you. Their different roles allow them to be used as complementary steps.
Do I need to buy both at the beginning?
Choose according to your concerns. For targeted leave-in care where hair looks thinner, start with BioPeptide. If excess oil, itchiness, flakes or cleansing are your priority, consider AMARA as a complementary step or begin with shampoo. Persistent inflammation needs an appropriate assessment.
Does AMARA produce lots of foam? Should I shampoo twice?
AMARA uses a fine lather from palm- and coconut-derived cleansing ingredients rather than SLS/SLES. It is designed to wash away oil and residue without a tight, dry feel. On days with more oil or styling product, you can wash once to remove residue, then wash gently again and leave for 2–3 minutes before rinsing.
What if my shedding is severe or my scalp looks abnormal?
Sudden or patchy hair loss, wounds, swelling, redness, pain or severe inflammation should be assessed by a doctor so the underlying cause and appropriate care can be identified.
Who is Songnaang BioPeptide designed for?
BioPeptide Advanced Hair Thickening Serum is designed for people interested in caring for their roots, scalp and the appearance of hair density—not simply the loose strands they notice. Concerns people may want to discuss include:
✔ More shedding than usual when washing, brushing or waking to loose hair on the pillow
✔ Hereditary thinning with a widening part, receding-looking hairline or thinner-looking crown
✔ Postpartum shedding associated with hormonal changes; suitability should be discussed individually
✔ Menopause-related changes, finer strands, less volume or a more visible scalp
✔ Frequent colouring, perming, straightening or chemical processing
✔ An oily, flaky or easily irritated scalp that needs attention alongside root care
✔ People using Minoxidil or other hair-loss treatment under medical supervision who want to discuss complementary scalp care
✔ People interested in eyebrow or beard care should first confirm the product’s intended application with the brand and avoid eye contact
When might this product be unsuitable or have limitations?
Where follicles have been permanently destroyed—for example, by scarring—a cosmetic care product cannot restore the missing follicle. Professional assessment is important when the cause is uncertain.
BioPeptide is intended for people who want to begin caring for their scalp and remaining hair roots. Choose it with a clear understanding of your concerns and the limitations of cosmetic care.
I have tried many brands. What makes this different?
“I understand why you ask. Often, the people asking have already experienced disappointment. They have changed shampoo repeatedly, tried different serum brands,
used supplements, mesotherapy or medical hair-loss treatments. At first things may appear better, then the original concern returns or progress feels uncertain. That does not always mean you chose the wrong brand.
It may mean the scalp, roots and underlying cause need more attention than the visible strands alone. BioPeptide was therefore developed around more than the idea of new growth. Its approach is Scalp First Care + Hair Root Science. Our thinking is that
scalp imbalance, changes at the follicle and the hair cycle can affect the quality and fullness of new strands. We combined Redensyl®, Procapil™, Baicapil™, AnaGain™ and Copper Tripeptide-1 with seven botanical ingredients to bring complementary roles into one scalp and root-care concept. We cannot promise that BioPeptide will suit everyone or produce the same results for every user. If your previous approach focused on new growth without considering the scalp and follicular environment,
Songnaang BioPeptide Advanced Hair Thickening Serum offers a different care concept to explore.
We want you to understand the formula, rather than choose it because of an advertising promise. Ask whether your previous care addressed only the strands or also the scalp and roots.
Sometimes the useful question is not how many bottles you have used, but whether your care matches the concern.”
Can hereditary thinning improve?
Heredity is a risk factor—not the whole story. People sometimes assume that hereditary thinning leaves a hair transplant as their only option. Pattern hair loss develops over time. DHT and other factors can contribute to follicle miniaturisation, a shorter growth phase and progressively finer new strands. Where follicles remain, their condition and the surrounding scalp environment can still be assessed and cared for. The best approach depends on the diagnosis.
Songnaang’s formula concept considers root care, DHT-related ingredient research, scalp balance and the hair cycle together. This does not make it a substitute for prescribed treatment. If follicles are permanently destroyed, cosmetic products have limits. Medical options or hair transplantation may need to be discussed with an appropriate specialist.
Understanding the cause early helps you make a considered plan for the hair and follicles you still have.
For hereditary thinning, the aim extends beyond new-looking strands to long-term follicular health and hair quality. Results depend on the condition of the follicles, the stage of thinning and the care or treatment used.
Why does the brand recommend at least three months?
This is one of the most common questions. Hair follows a natural growth cycle, so changes in the scalp and strands cannot be judged from only a few days of use.
BioPeptide’s care concept considers the scalp, roots and hair growth cycle rather than short-term shedding alone. A consistent observation period gives you a clearer view of your experience.
Hair does not all grow at once.
The scalp commonly contains roughly 80,000–120,000 hairs, with different strands at different points in their cycle. While some strands grow, others rest or shed. Starting a serum does not make every follicle respond at the same time. Judging your experience after only 2–3 weeks may miss changes that take longer to become visible.
The hair growth cycle
1. Anagen: the growth phase
The active growth stage, when cells divide and the strand lengthens. This phase may last around 2–6 years, depending on individual factors such as heredity, age and health. The proportion of growing hairs contributes to the appearance of fullness and volume.
2. Catagen: the transition phase
Growth slows and the follicle transitions away from the active growing stage. This short stage lasts approximately 2–3 weeks.
3. Telogen: the resting phase
The strand is no longer actively lengthening and awaits replacement. This stage commonly lasts approximately 2–4 months. When more hairs enter this phase together, shedding can become more noticeable.
4. Exogen: the shedding phase
Older strands are released as the follicle moves through its cycle and new growth develops. Daily shedding of roughly 50–100 hairs can occur within the normal hair cycle.
Why observe care over at least three months?
1. The scalp needs consistent care.
Changes at the follicle cannot be judged over a few days. Cleansing excess oil and residue, maintaining scalp comfort and following a suitable care plan are ongoing processes.
2. New hair takes time to become visible.
Even when a follicle is producing a new strand, it still takes time for that strand to emerge and lengthen. Scalp hair grows on average approximately 1–1.5 cm per month. Several weeks may therefore pass before differences in apparent fullness or volume can be noticed.
3. Resting hairs follow their own cycle.
A follicle in telogen does not immediately produce a visible new strand on application of a cosmetic product. It moves into a new cycle before new growth becomes visible. This is one reason hair-related changes take time.
4. Strands do not all change together.
In the first month, some users primarily describe a change in noticeable shedding. Around the second month, some describe small new-looking strands. By the third month, some may notice a difference in apparent density or volume. A few weeks of observation may not reflect the longer-term experience. None of these stages guarantees a result.

Can I use BioPeptide while using Minoxidil or other hair-loss medicine?
Discuss the combination with your treating doctor or pharmacist first. Cosmetic care and medical treatment have different roles. BioPeptide is an external scalp and root-care product containing peptide technologies and botanical extracts. Its formulation concept considers the scalp and hair cycle. Minoxidil and other hair-loss medicines are medical treatments that should be used according to the prescribing clinician’s advice and the medicine’s instructions. Some people consider cosmetic scalp care alongside treatment, but the suitability and timing of a combination should be checked individually.
If you are considering combined use:
Follow the medicine’s prescribed application schedule.
Do not assume that spacing a serum and a topical medicine by 30–60 minutes makes the combination suitable. Some minoxidil product instructions advise against other dermatological scalp products; ask your doctor or pharmacist about your exact products. Read the product information.
If you take finasteride, dutasteride or another oral medicine, tell your treating clinician which external scalp products you want to add. External use alone does not establish suitability for every person.
Your clinician can help you decide whether additional cosmetic scalp care fits your existing plan. Do not stop a medicine, reduce the dose or change the treatment plan yourself. Speak to the clinician responsible for your care.
Will shedding return if I stop?
That depends on the cause of your shedding. It helps to understand that BioPeptide does not change your genetics or permanently stop age-related biological changes. It is designed as ongoing scalp and root care while you are using it. A simple comparison:
exercise benefits depend partly on consistency; after a long break, your previous level of conditioning may change. Hair care also needs to be considered over time. If heredity, hormonal influences, stress or age-related factors remain, the underlying concern can continue even when you stop a cosmetic product. After consistent use, some users discuss a maintenance approach, such as reducing from twice daily to once daily. Follow the product label and seek individual advice before changing a prescribed treatment.
The aim is not to make you feel committed to a serum for life. It is to help you understand ongoing care while the factors affecting your hair are still present.
If you are considering reducing or stopping hair-loss medicine, consult your treating doctor first. A cosmetic scalp serum should not be used as a reason to stop prescribed treatment.
Can a serum help if the follicles are gone?
The key question is whether functioning follicles remain. Thinning has different stages, and the word “baldness” does not establish the condition of every follicle. Where follicles remain—even when producing finer strands or resting—the appropriate care or treatment depends on the cause and the condition of the scalp. Where follicles have been permanently destroyed or replaced by scar tissue, a cosmetic product cannot create new follicles. A doctor can assess whether other options, including specialist treatment or transplantation, are appropriate.
If you are unsure, a professional scalp assessment, potentially including trichoscopy, can help clarify the condition of the follicles and avoid time spent on an unsuitable approach.
What about postpartum or menopausal hair changes?
These stages can involve hormonal changes that affect the hair cycle. Product suitability should still be considered individually. After childbirth, a fall in oestrogen can be followed by increased shedding, making hair feel as though it is coming out in handfuls. Around menopause, hormonal changes can be associated with finer strands, reduced fullness and a more noticeable part. BioPeptide’s formulation concept considers scalp comfort, the root environment and the hair cycle together.
Some users explore it when they notice postpartum or menopausal changes in shedding or fullness, as part of a broader care discussion. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your healthcare professional before starting the product.
Understanding the changes early can help you plan appropriate care. Results vary with follicular condition, the underlying cause and other health factors.
Should I use it every day?
The brand recommends regular use. Consistency matters more than applying a large amount only occasionally. Follow the label for morning and bedtime use. Part your hair, apply directly to the target scalp area and massage gently for approximately 1–2 minutes to distribute the serum. As with facial skin care, regular scalp care is an ongoing habit. Hair-related changes are observed over months rather than overnight. If you miss a day, do not apply extra the next day. Simply return to the normal directions.
Some users later discuss a maintenance approach of once-daily application, according to individual needs and the product directions.
Hair does not change overnight. Consistency provides a clearer care and observation pattern than occasional heavy application.
Why does it cost more than some other serums?
What you are choosing is more than a bottle of serum: it is a formula designed around a complete root-care concept. Products vary. Some focus on one or two actives; others primarily coat the strand for a temporary fuller appearance.
Songnaang’s Scalp First Care + Hair Root Science concept combines Redensyl®, Procapil™, Baicapil™, AnaGain™ and Copper Tripeptide-1 with seven botanicals, considering the scalp, roots and hair cycle together.
“We do not select ingredients by price alone. We look at the research and intended role of each component, then consider how they fit within the same formula. BioPeptide’s story is also about more than a marketing team. It grew from Dr.Koi’s experience, her study of hair-related concerns and continued formula development, with attention to long-term root care as well as visible hair.
If you compare only the price per bottle, it may cost more than some alternatives. If you compare the ingredients, technologies and formulation concept, it becomes a more considered choice than repeatedly changing products without understanding your concern.
Our aim is not to be the cheapest serum. It is to offer a thoughtful formula for people who take their scalp and root care seriously.”
Can I use it with Songnaang’s shampoo?
The two products are designed as complementary steps, rather than duplicates. Scalp condition matters alongside leave-in care. Oil buildup, dandruff, residue or persistent inflammation deserve attention rather than relying on a serum alone. That is the thinking behind Songnaang’s Hair System Protocol, which considers cleansing and root care together.
Step 1: cleanse the scalp
AMARA botanical shampoo is designed to wash away excess oil and residue while keeping the scalp comfortable and ready for the next care step.
Step 2: care for the roots
Once the scalp is dry or slightly damp, apply Songnaang BioPeptide Advanced Hair Thickening Serum directly to the scalp and massage gently, following the label. The two steps reflect the analogy of preparing the soil before tending a plant: consider the surrounding environment as well as the roots.
“We believe healthy-looking hair begins with attention to the scalp and consistent root care.” That is why some users choose Songnaang shampoo and serum together.
Results vary according to scalp condition, follicular health and consistent use.
When should I consider AMARA together with BioPeptide?
If oil, residue, dandruff or irritation are also concerns, cleansing and scalp comfort deserve attention alongside a leave-in serum. Consider discussing the pair when your concerns include:
More shedding than usual
Thinning, flatter-looking hair or less volume
Roots that become oily quickly
Frequent scalp itching
Dandruff or visible flakes
An easily irritated scalp
Frequent colouring, perming, straightening, bleaching or chemical processing
A wish to care for both the scalp and the roots
The shampoo gently cleanses oil and residue. BioPeptide provides a separate leave-in care step directly on the scalp. Together, the products have complementary roles: cleansing the scalp environment and providing leave-in root care.
How long before I might notice a change?
The hair cycle takes time. New visible strands and changes in apparent fullness cannot be judged from a few days. With consistent twice-daily use according to the label, the brand suggests observing the following possible stages:
The first 2–4 weeks
During the first 2–4 weeks, some users describe a more balanced scalp feel, less excess oil, less noticeable shedding and stronger-looking roots. Individual experiences differ.
Around 1–2 months
Around 1–2 months, some users report small new-looking strands near the hairline or part and an improved hair feel.
Around three months or longer
Some users describe more apparent fullness, a narrower-looking part or more volume. This varies with age, the underlying cause, follicular condition and ongoing care. Do not assess your experience from baby hairs alone. Scalp comfort, visible shedding and the condition of existing strands are also useful things to observe.
The brand’s approach is about consistent root care and the quality of the strands over time, rather than trying to rush the hair cycle.
Still deciding whether to buy?
“I do not want you to choose simply because you have read this far. Instead, ask yourself three questions.
1. Compared with last year, does your hair concern feel better—or worse?
If it feels worse, it may be time to understand what has changed, including changes that were easy to overlook at first.
2. If your current approach stays the same for another six months,
what do you expect your hair to look like: fuller, or less full? Many people wish they had understood their concern earlier,
rather than waiting until the change became more noticeable.
3. If you begin an appropriate care plan today,
at least, three months from now, you will have taken a considered first step,
rather than wondering why you never began.”Dr.Koi Founder of Songnaang
I am not saying this serum is right for everyone.
But if you are noticing:
More shedding than usual
strands becoming progressively finer,
A wider part
more visible scalp,
or the feeling that your hair is no longer like it used to be,
beginning to understand and care for it today can be more useful than waiting for the concern to become more obvious.
Because the most valuable thing
is not simply one bottle of serum. It is the time you give to appropriate care. Follicles that are still functioning can be assessed and cared for,
while permanently destroyed follicles cannot be restored by a cosmetic product.
So,
if you believe that stronger-looking hair begins with care at the source, today can be a good day to begin.
Not because you need to rush a purchase, but because
understanding your hair is worth your time.

About the brand
Combining our passions
Why did you create Songnaang BioPeptide serum?
Dr.Koi Founder of Songnaang“I wanted to share my experience of caring for thinning hair and improving its appearance of fullness. I selected botanical ingredients alongside internationally developed technologies such as AnaGain™, Baicapil™, Procapil™, Redensyl® and Copper Peptide, with the aim of supporting stronger-looking hair and confidence.”
What makes BioPeptide different?
“Songnaang BioPeptide was developed around more than new growth alone. Many people concerned about thinning or a wider part also have scalp imbalance, oil, irritation or changes in the hair cycle. New-looking strands may not deliver the fullness they want if those wider concerns are overlooked.
We therefore chose the Scalp First Care + Hair Root Science approach. It draws on users’ experiences and my own experience of shedding, thinning and scalp imbalance. We understand that people often want more than baby hairs: they want stronger-looking hair, more visible fullness when tied back or seen in the light, and confidence over time. I have documented the development story and continued refining the formula. You can explore that experience and the brand’s further information through the link below.”
